Distributed Cribbage Computation
A Distributed Computing Screen Saver
Download the setup file below and run it. The setup process will install the Distributed Cribbage program.
To select the screen saver, use the Display control panel.
The first time the program or screen saver runs, if an internet connection exists, it will download approximately 900 kb of data.
Users who are running in "Generate Local Files" mode should periodically download the latest epoch file. Right click the file name below and select save.
Replace the existing EPOCH.DAT file in the main program directory with this one.
Some people may find it perferrable to download only the main executable.
Replace the existing CRIBSS.EXE file in the main program directory with this one.
The software is provided as is, without any sort of warranty, either expressed or implied. The author (David Manthey) shall not be held liable for failures or limitations of the software. No warranty is made that this software meets any requirements or will be uninterrupted or error free. No responsibility is taken for any effects of the software. The end user agrees to hold the author blameless for any problems arising from the use of the software. The author shall not be liable for any special, incidental, consequential, indirect, or similar damages.
The author does assert that to the best of his ability and knowledge, the software has no capability to transmit or receive anything except non-executable data that directly pertains to the distributed computing project. There are no backdoors or hidden access methods.
Although no warranty is made, if you find a bug in the program, please email the author, and a good faith effort will be made to correct the problem.
